Election 2016 – An Archetypal Perspective

September 16, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Panel: Achilles & Athena
Ashok Bedi, MD
Lynne Copp, PhD
Victoria Drake, PhD
September 16, 25pm
The current election atmosphere in the USA is profoundly challenging and confusing as
we face one of the most disruptively polarizing times in our political sphere ever. How
could we deepen the seeming oppositional energies embodied by our two party system
to explore what they might be asking of us, mirroring for us, as a collective? One way
through this chaotic field is to open up the mythic perspectives of Achilles and Athena to
inquire what they have to say for our time in the 21st century.
In this communal discussion we will explore the mythological roots of the 2016
presidential campaigns in order to deepen our understanding of the polarizing energies
emerging in our country and to imagine ways beyond them.
