Ego is the center of our manifest consciousness that directs our day to day adaptation to life and
its challenges. This Ego is like the steering wheel of our life. However, within each one of us is
there is a deeper center of consciousness that directs our life's latent purpose and direction; our
spiritual purpose or Dharma. This is the engine of our car; the source of vitality, purpose and
roadmap to our destiny our teleos. How to establish this ego/Self bridge is the opus of our
lifetime. When we are ill, our Self communicates this to our consciousness in unique ways that
we will explore in this presentation. When we balance the ego and the Self, we claim wellness.
When we honor our Self's unique program, we attain wholeness. These three modes of being in
the Self will be explored in a preliminary manner. C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago
